Calamagrostis x acutiflora 'Karl Foerster'
Karl Foerster Grass
Karl Foerster is a feather reed grass cultivar valued for its early bloom, vertical lines and ability to grow in wet soils. It is a slowly-spreading, ornamental grass which features an erect, slightly arching, slender clump of narrow, stiff, rich green leaves. Leaves produce little fall color, eventually turning tan in winter. In June, tightly-vertical flower stalks rise bearing narrow plumes of feathery, purplish-green flowers which turn golden as the seeds mature in summer and eventually tan. Clumps generally provide good continuing winter interest.
Can be used as a group or a specimen. Excellent vertical accent for borders and for narrow spaces in the landscape.

All Gold Japanese Forest Grass
Japanese forest grass is a graceful arching, linear-lanceolate, bright green leaves form dense, spreading, cascading mounds. Leaves have a papery texture resembling the leaves of some types of bamboo. This cultivar is a more compact with bright golden yellow leaves.
Excellent spreading ornamental grass for shady locations. Shade groundcover or accent for woodland gardens. Shaded areas of mixed borders. Along paths and walks, on slopes, and in containers.

Hakonechloa macra 'Aureola'
Golden Japanese Forest Grass
Japanese forest grass has a graceful arching, linear, bright golden-striped leaves form dense, spreading, cascading mounds. Leaves have a papery texture resembling the leaves of some types of bamboo. ‘Aureola’ is a deciduous perennial grass that typically grows in dense spreading clumps and features gracefully arching green leaves variegated with gold longitudinal striping.
Often used in shade, woodland gardens, or mixed borders. Can also be used along paths, walks, and in containers.

Miscanthus sinensus 'Adagio'
Adagio Grass
Adagio is a dwarf grass, typically growing it is an upright, warm season, clump-forming ornamental grass which features extremely narrow, silver-gray blades which turn yellow in fall. Tiny pink-tinged flowers appear in tassel-like inflorescences above the foliage in late summer, gradually turning into creamy white plumes by fall as the seeds mature. Foliage and flower plumes persist well into winter providing good winter interest.
Can be used as accent, specimen, grouping or mass. Works well in borders, meadows, wild gardens, cottage gardens, naturalized areas.

Miscanthus sinensus 'Gracillimus'
Maidenhair Grass
Maiden grass is noted for its narrow green leaves with a silver mid-rib which form a rounded, arching clump of foliage. Foliage turns yellowish after frost, but quickly fades to straw-beige by winter. Tiny reddish-copper flowers appear in tassel-like inflorescences above the foliage in late September, gradually turning into silvery white plumes as the seeds mature.
Versatile ornamental grass, but when it is clumped it needs lots of room. Makes a good accent or specimen. Also works well in groupings, mass platings or screens. Often used in borders, meadows, wild gardens, cottage gardens, naturalized areas.

Miscanthus sinensus 'Little Zebra'
Little Zebra Grass
Little Zebra, sometimes commonly called dwarf zebra grass, is a compact cultivar that typically grows in a clump, and is noted for its compact size, upright form, horizontally-banded foliage and wine-purple flower plumes. Leaf blades feature, at irregular intervals, distinctive horizontal yellow bands that retain good coloration throughout the growing season. Flowers appear above the foliage in late summer. Tiny flowers emerge gray-purple with the plumes having an overall wine-purple coloration. As seeds begin to form, the flower/seed plumes fade to creamy tan, often providing some winter interest.
Versatile dwarf ornamental grass. Often used as accent, specimen, grouping or mass. Can be used in borders, meadows, wild gardens, cottage gardens, naturalized areas.

Miscanthus sinensus 'Zebrinus'
Zebra Grass
Zebra grass is a clump-forming grass noted for its horizontally banded foliage which grows rounded, and tends to flop and need support. 'Zebrinus' features dark green leaves with zebra-striped, golden yellow bands extending horizontally across the leaves at irregular intervals. Foliage gradually fades to tan after frost. Tiny pink/copper-tinted flowers appear in tassel-like inflorescences above the foliage in late summer, gradually turning into silvery white plumes in fall. Flower plumes persist well into winter providing good winter interest.

Pennisetum alopecuriodes 'Hameln'
Hameln Grass
'Hameln' is a short fountain grass features arching, deep green foliage in an compact upright clump. Leaves are deep green in summer, changing to orange-bronze in fall and eventually to beige in late fall. Foliage usually remains attractive throughout the winter. Showy, silvery to pinkish-white, wheat-like flower spikes arch outward from the clump in late summer like water spraying from a fountain. Flower spikes turn brownish as the seed forms, and spikes persist until late fall or early winter before shattering.
Mass or group. Excellent specimen for smaller areas. Foliage and attractive flower spikes of this compact ornamental grass provide excellent texture, color and contrast to rock gardens, border fronts or small areas around the home. Also grows well in moist locations such as low spots, water gardens or on the banks of streams or ponds.
